Usage Tips & Tone Considerations
Because it’s modelled after a Marshall amp, it works well to push a clean-ish amplifier into saturation, or be used as a distortion source in front of simpler amps.
The Deep knob is helpful for shaping the low/mid character, filling out the tone when gain is high.
Since it’s analog and relatively simple in control layout, dialing the balance between Gain and Volume is key — too much gain may get mushy on certain guitars or pickups.
If your amp has an effects loop, you can experiment with placing the DSL pedal before the amp (in front) or into the return (bypassing the amp’s preamp) to see which gives you better result in your setup.
