The Marshall JCM900 Pedal (sometimes called the JCM900 Overdrive / Hi-Gain Distortion Pedal) is a stompbox effect that aims to recreate the high-gain, aggressive distortion tones of the classic Marshall JCM900 amplifier series, especially the more modern rock/metal sound.
