In addition to the Linde body with its chic curly maple top, a neck made of roasted maple is part of the equipment, which convinces with unimpeded playability, while specially developed Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickups with dyna-MIX10 circuitry ensure versatile sounds with lively articulation. The Ibanez AZ242F also features a Gotoh T1502 Tremolo and Gotoh H.A.P. Magnum Lock tuners.

First-class woods and unhindered playing comfort

For the ergonomically designed body of the Ibanez AZ242F, Ibanez selects American lime and a top made of intensively drawn curly maple, whereby wide cutaways and the “Super All Access Neck Joint” make even the highest positions easily accessible. The absolute highlight of the Ibanez AZ242 is without a doubt the screwed neck made of roasted maple. Due to the thermal treatment in a vacuum, the maple used gains resonance and becomes insensitive to climate changes. The medium-strong “AZ” profile lies comfortably in the hand, so that even the most complex song can easily get out of your fingers between the 24 stainless steel jumbo frets. Fluorescent side dots allow optimal orientation even on the darkest stages.

Seymour Duncan Hyperion Pickups with dyna-MIX10 circuit

The Seymour Duncan Hyperion humbuckers in the neck and middle position convince with a moderately increased output and a balanced reproduction of all frequencies, so that in connection with the lively dynamics expressive electric guitar playing is optimally supported. The pickup coils of different combinations are selected using the 5-way blade switch, whereby additional options can be called up thanks to the dyna-MIX10 circuit. After the “Alter” switch is actuated, a coil of each humbucker is “tapped” with a reduced number of windings, so that thinned out, finely resolved tones are available.

High quality hardware from Gotoh

Last but not least, the Ibanez Prestige AZ242F-TSG Tequila Sunrise Gradation convinces with first-class hardware equipment. The bridge is the Gotoh T1502 Tremolo, specially developed for Ibanez Premium AZ series, which is equipped with stainless steel string riders to enhance the sound. With string spacings of 10.5 mm, it also supports the optimum stop technique. The strings are also guided to the Gotoh Magnum Lock H.A.P. tuners on the headstock via a GraphTech saddle, whose height-adjustable winding axes guarantee optimum string pressure.
